Missing piece of Hills Greenway Link now complete

February 10, 2026

The Hills has become that much easier to move around after Council opened a new pathway that is perfect for cycling and passive recreation.

The recently opened section near Thomas Boulton Circuit, in Kellyville, was the final piece to be completed in the Greenway Link, which extends from Bella Vista Farm through to Rouse Hill Town Centre.

Mayor of The Hills Shire, Dr Peter Gangemi said the new path would transform the way people move around the Shire. It also helps to reduce congestion by providing alternative transport options other than vehicles on the road.

“Cycling is booming in The Hills and we are always looking to provide more bike paths for our increasing population,” Mayor Gangemi said.

“The Thomas Boulton Circuit pathway is a crucial connection that will allow residents to bike ride or even walk or run to local parks and reserves, as well as to public transport, shopping centres and their places of work in major centres, such as Norwest Business Park and Rouse Hill Town Centre. It’s also a great option for exercise.

“As a Council, we are proud of our work to provide even more active transport routes, which will help take pressure off our local roads and on public transport, save residents money and promote health and wellbeing,” Mayor Gangemi added.

The new connection forms part of the 100 kilometres of shared pathways across The Hills Shire.
